Antoinette Gonçalves
Founder & Business Management Consultant
Born in Cabo Verde, Antoinette Gonçalves built her career across two continents. Holder of a customs-declaration degree (Licence Déclarante en Douane, AFTRAL) and a Business Assistant BTS (Auréis) in France, she spent several years as a customs declarant at Qualitair & Sea and then Chronopost SAS — roles that forged the administrative rigour and mastery of international processes that still shape her practice today.
That international-freight background gives her a rare perspective: she knows, concretely, what it takes to move a business in or out of a country. Quadrilingual — French, Portuguese, Cape Verdean Creole, English C1 — she embodies the cultural bridge between foreign investors and the realities of the Cape Verdean market.
In 2019, she chose to return to Praia to put that expertise at the service of companies looking to settle, grow or restructure in Cabo Verde.
AGEF — Agência de Gestão, Emprego e Formação
AGEF — Agência de Gestão, Emprego e Formação — was founded in November 2019 in Praia. The firm grew out of a first-hand observation: few local players seriously support foreign companies settling in Cabo Verde, and few Cape Verdean businesses have access to properly structured management consulting.
Between the two, a gap. AGEF was built to fill it.
Since its creation, the firm has supported both local SMEs looking to professionalise their processes and European investors discovering the Cape Verdean market. Our belief: a consulting firm is only worth the quality of the transformations it triggers in its clients — which is why every engagement is designed to deliver measurable, lasting outcomes.
